Welcome to the Burnley Brow Community School Website. I am proud to be Headteacher of this innovative school- a school where children are encouraged to think for themselves and develop important life skills that will help them to prosper both in and out of school. We encourage all our learners to have high aspirations and actively promote enquiry, independence, cooperation and self-challenge, underpinned by key values of respect, courage, honesty, cooperation and responsibility.

OFSTED: The Office for Standards in Education said we are a Good school at our last inspection, and we continue to evolve and grow, in order to facilitate an exciting and fulfilling learning experience for our children.

EXPERIENCES: We believe that our children need to have access to a variety enriching experiences and we aim to provide opportunities for children to succeed in many different areas of life. Whatever a child’s abilities, we will help them to achieve their potential.

SAFE, HEALTHY & RESPECTED: It is a priority for us to keep your child safe and healthy. We help them to make informed choices, be able to think for themselves and be confident to stand up for what they feel is right. We follow the Respect Charter, which is a clear moral code for rights and responsibilities.

DEDICATED STAFF: Our staff are committed to ensuring our children are offered an inclusive, enjoyable and challenging education. We are at the forefront of new initiatives and research-based educational improvement and are partners in a Teaching School Alliance.

PARENT PARTNERSHIP: A very important part of our school is you, the parent. You and your child are important to us and we work hard to involve you in every step of your child’s education. We also offer many opportunities for you to be included in the daily life of the school.
